Implementation of Vorne XL in a manufacturing plant

At the state-of-the-art production facility, Totem digital printing, this is another implementation of the Vorne XL system, which was preceded by a 60-day pilot of our solution.

The Vorne XL system helps Totem's print shop to manage production more effectively and improve processes by:

real-time monitoring of production targets,
recording and analysing unplanned downtime and the most common line failures.

Some technical highlights:

an industrial graphic display keeps the line operator informed of the status of the production order in real time,
the operator uses a barcode reader to provide the product/order name and the reason for the downtime,
signals collected directly from the line via photocells are fed into the Vorne XL system, which uses them to determine the number of bound books, shortages and the operating status of the machine,
the board is connected to the company LAN, which makes it possible to access the analysis of the collected data via a web browser,
installation and configuration of the board took about 3 hours - without stopping the production line.
