VDA 16 - ASSESSMENT OF DECORATIVE SURFACES IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
BENEFITS FOR THE PARTICIPANT AFTER TAKING PART IN THE TRAINING:
The participant will learn:
- what types of light are present its colour and intensity, distance from the object to be observed, inspection times, etc..,
- how to subdivide into defect classifications and how to determine the limiting standard,
- how to effectively inspect products for visual aspects,
- how to inspect at the product audit bench with regard to visual aspects.
The participant will learn to:
- conduct an assessment of decorative surfaces,
- qualify defects accordingly on the basis of the defined defect catalogue,
- develop suitable working conditions during the inspection,
- develop basic quality requirements for the assessment of decorative surfaces for products.
STATIC ANALYSIS OF TOLERANCE CHAINS WITH ASSESSMENT OF THE RISK OF NONCONFORMITY

The participant will learn to:
- creation of tolerance chains including statistical methods on the basis of geometrical tolerances,
- risk evaluation during assembly / assembly of multi-component products,
- identify key components and dimensions affecting the correct assembly of a sub-assembly / product.
The participant learns:
- how to optimise production (product) costs by reducing quality requirements for components, while maintaining acceptable risks for the sub-assembly / final product,
- how the analysis of dimension chains is systematic,
- what is the link between tolerances in dimension chains and process variation, supervised by SPC methods,
- how to estimate the risk of a non-conforming part using different risk analysis concepts.
