ProMSA - Measurement Systems Analysis

Application

ProMSA is a program used to support the analysis of measurement systems (MSA - Measurment System Analysis) according to the guidelines of AIAG MSA Manual - 4rd Edition. The manufacturer, Symphony Technologies, has several years of experience in developing applications for, among other things, quality management.

specification

Basic features of the program:

  • full range of analysis,
  • graphical presentation of results,
  • instrument database - scheduling and reporting of analysis dates,
  • ease of use, user-friendly interface,
  • natural signaling of compliance and exceedances (green, yellow, red),
  • scalable analysis layouts (number of operators, parts, repetitions),
  • instrument list and analysis history in a single database,
  • export of reports to MS EXCEL spreadsheet format

Scope of analysis:

1) Measurement Systems for Numerical Values (Variable Studies):

  • Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) Analysis by Range & Average and ANOVA,
  • Bias Studies,
  • Linearity (Linearity),
  • Stability (Stability),

2) Control Systems for Attribute Studies (Attribute Studies, "go/no go"):

  • "Kappa" method (Cross Tab Method),
  • Signal Detection Method (Signal Detection Method),
  • Analytic Method & GPC.

Repeatability and Reproducibility Analysis (GR&R);

  • Mean and Variance method (so-called Ford Type-2),
  • ANOVA method,
  • Long-term stability: the Xśr-R chart,
  • Graphical analysis: interaction plot, scatter plot (part-operator), waveform plot by part / by operator, scatter component (variance) shares plot,
  • components of scatter (EV, AV, PV, R&R, TV),
  • variance components (Percentage Contribution),
  • signal to noise ratio (Signal to Noise Ratio),
  • resolution index (ndc),
  • ANOVA table,
  • %R&R, %EV, %AV, %PV ratios for different reference quantities.

Bias Study;

  • estimation of bias,
  • assessment of the significance of bias (test-t),
  • color signaling of compliance,
  • histogram.

Linearity Analysis;

  • Estimation of bias and scatter for different values of the measurand within the measuring range of the instrument,
  • regression analysis (confidence intervals),
  • Goodness of Fit calculations,
  • color signaling of compliance with requirements.

Stability Analysis;

  • Stability monitoring with Xśr-R card,
  • sample size by user selection,
  • analysis using rules (SPC) Western Electric,
  • color signaling of compliance with requirements (exceeding control limits, trends).

R&R analysis for attributive properties (Cross Tab Methods);

  • Attributive parameter control system analysis function with interface for entering evaluation results and lists of reference quantities,
  • analysis using parameter: Cohen`s kappa,
  • calculation of the efficiency of the measurement system,
  • indicators for the number of false alarms.

R&R analysis for attributive properties: Signal detection method;

  • Determination of the area of non-compliance for operators,
  • determination of %GRR,
  • Indicator: Interrater Agreement determined based on: Cohen`s kappa parameter.
